COVID-19 Health & Safety Policy

COVID-19 Health & Safety Policy

Since opening in 1992, we have provided a safe, nurturing environment for children in our programs. Our philosophy is to provide a quality learning environment that focuses on growth, safety and communication for all. We have placed regulations and policies to control and reduce the transmission of COVID-19.

Face Coverings

ALL EMPLOYEES must wear face coverings when in an area or performing an activity, which will involve close contact or proximity to co-workers or the public. This includes classrooms and other areas where it is impossible to maintain 6 feet of distance from another human being. Parents, guardians, and visitors must wear facemasks during hand-off of children and when entering the building, if necessary.

Entry Exclusions

Only children and employees may enter the facility. Parents and guardians must hand-off their children outside of the building.

Breastfeeding must be done outside of the center. Parents are allowed to pick-up their children and return them if they’d like.

Entry Symptom & Temperature Checks

Before entering the facility all employees and children must:

• Verify they are free of flu & cold symptoms.

• Have their temperature checked by a center administrator.

o Temperatures must be below         100°F to enter the facility.

Additional Policies

Our main priority is the safety of our children, because of this, we have implemented the following policies to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

  • Entry to facility – Tours of the facility for new families must be scheduled in advance. They may also take place after business hours. Therapy sessions for children are not allowed inside the facility unless it is the therapists 1st appointment for the day.
  • Each classroom is sanitized daily. All toys are disinfected daily. Toys made from fabric or porous material are not currently being used and have been stored away until COVID has ended.
  • Curbside pick-up & drop-off may be available at some centers.
  • Child Care Licensing is frequently inspecting our facilities to see that we are abiding by government guidelines.
