Our Mission
At Discovery World Learning Center, we create safe, nurturing spaces where every child feels loved, every family feels supported, and every team member feels valued.
Since opening in 1992, we have provided a safe, nurturing environment for children in our programs. Our philosophy is to provide a quality learning environment that focuses on growth, safety and communication for all.
Core Values
These values guide everything we do—from the classroom to leadership decisions. They reflect what matters most to our children, families, and team members—and shape the way we grow, care, and lead together.
Growth – We believe in the growth of every child—and every team member.
We create environments where children develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning. At the same time, we support and encourage our staff to grow through training, teamwork, and shared purpose. When we grow together, everyone thrives.
Safety – We create spaces where children & staff feel physically, and emotionally secure.
Safety starts with trust—trust in each other, in our routines, and in the care we provide. We maintain calm, clean, and consistent environments by staying alert, working as a team, and responding with intention. Safety isn’t just a policy—it’s a priority.
Respect – We treat every child, parent, and team member with dignity, kindness, & care.
Respect means listening to one another, honoring our differences, and recognizing the value each person brings. When everyone feels seen, heard, and appreciated, we build a culture where people belong—and want to give their best.
Partnership – We’re stronger when we work together.
We build trust through open communication, shared responsibility, and support for one another. Whether it’s team members lifting each other up or families working with us in meaningful ways, our partnerships are built on unity and mutual respect.
Education
Our teachers provide a high-quality, age-appropriate curriculum for our children. Our small group sessions allow our children to receive the best individual attention they deserve.
Growth
We focus on developmental growth for all children. We foster enriched lives by providing an environment that promotes self esteem, respect and independence. We encourage healthy choices through physical and health choices.
Safety
Our main priority is the safety of our children. We ensure that all caregivers’ main focus is to keep children safe and healthy. Providing children with the tools to be considerate, self aware and conscious of their surroundings.
Communication
We believe a child thrives when they are nurtured at home and at school. We prioritize communication with our parents to ensure each child has the resources they need to be successful.
